South Africa’s Parliament is buzzing with activity this week as President Cyril Ramaphosa prepares to answer tough questions on Tuesday. Lawmakers will grill him on the government’s plans for job creation, land reform strategies, and updates on public official lifestyle audits. It’s anticipated he’ll also discuss intensifying the successful Employment Stimulus program.

Key Highlights:

Before the President’s appearance, the National Assembly will hold a debate on Human Rights Day. Meanwhile, the National Council of Provinces will tackle important legislation, including bills addressing gender-based violence and the controversial topic of land expropriation.

On Wednesday, key economic ministers will face their own round of questioning in the National Assembly. Numerous parliamentary committees will also be meeting throughout the week to discuss significant bills.
