FLORIDA, USA – Bodycam footage has been released showing the November 2023 arrest of Nick Hogan, son of WWE legend Hulk Hogan. Hogan Jr., whose real name is Nicholas Bollea, was allegedly driving under the influence when stopped by Florida authorities. Police reports indicate that the 33-year-old refused to submit to all sobriety tests and is allegedly said to have failed the field sobriety tests he did complete. The footage also captures the elder Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea) arriving at the scene to support his son.
During the arrest, bodycam footage reveals an officer asking Bollea, “What race do you identify with?” The context of this question and its relevance to the situation are unclear.
This arrest has rekindled scrutiny of Bollea’s past actions. The family of John Graziano, severely injured in a 2007 car crash caused by Bollea, has expressed renewed pain following this latest DUI arrest.
In August 2007, Nick Hogan crashed his modified yellow Toyota Supra in Clearwater, Florida, while allegedly street racing. His passenger and friend, John Graziano, suffered serious head trauma in the accident.
Graziano currently resides in a veteran’s hospital in Haley, VA. Bollea, then underage (where the drinking age is 21), was charged with felony reckless driving involving serious bodily harm, among other offences.
“Every problem I have ever had in my life revolved around someone drinking alcohol,” Hulk Hogan has said.
