[VIDEO] Taxi Knocks Down Policeman in Durban

CHATSWORTH, DURBAN – In a startling incident that unfolded this morning at Moorton Shopping Centre in Chatsworth, Durban, a Metro Policeman was left seriously injured after being struck by a taxi. According to Yusuf Abramjee of Crime Watch, the incident occurred just after 8:30.

ALS Paramedics swiftly responded to the scene, finding the officer in his thirties lying on the roadway with multiple injuries. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked diligently to stabilize the injured Metro Policeman before rushing him to a nearby hospital for further care.

The taxi driver involved in the collision is reported to have been apprehended by Metro Police, while the South African Police Service (SAPS) also attended the scene. Both Metro Police and SAPS will be conducting thorough investigations into the incident.
