Planned Electricity Supply Interruptions in Hout Bay for Critical Maintenance

HOUT BAY – The City of Cape Town’s Electricity Generation and Distribution Department has issued a notice to residents in parts of Hout Bay regarding planned electricity interruptions scheduled for 21 and 28 February 2024. This essential maintenance is aimed at the major Bisschop electricity substation in the area, ensuring the reliability of the electricity supply.

The electricity infrastructure maintenance will take place on:

City teams will be conducting crucial maintenance work on the critical power infrastructure, and this undertaking is vital to guarantee a consistent and dependable electricity supply for residents in the affected area. The City apologizes for any inconvenience caused during this period.

It is crucial to note that the supply interruption will exclusively impact the highlighted area on the map. Residents should be aware that electricity supply could be restored at any time, and all electrical installations should be treated as live for the entire duration of the interruption.
