Police in Kranskop have apprehended a 47-year-old man on charges of driving under the influence of liquor and two counts of malicious damage to property. The arrest stems from an incident that unfolded on Saturday, 13 January 2024.

According to Netshiunda, the suspect engaged in a heated argument with his wife at home. In the aftermath of the disagreement, the wife left for a bottle store, seeking refuge. However, the situation took a drastic turn as the enraged suspect not only followed his wife but also intentionally rammed his combi against his wife’s Nissan 1400 bakkie.
