Police in Kranskop have apprehended a 47-year-old man on charges of driving under the influence of liquor and two counts of malicious damage to property. According to Netshiunda, the suspect engaged in a heated argument with his wife at home. In the aftermath of the disagreement, the wife left for a bottle store, seeking refuge. However, the situation took a drastic turn as the enraged suspect not only followed his wife but also intentionally rammed his combi against his wife’s Nissan 1400 bakkie. The impact resulted in significant damage to both vehicles and the building.
The 47-year-old suspect faced charges related to driving under the influence and causing deliberate damage to property. He was promptly brought before the Kranskop Magistrate’s Court, making an appearance on Monday.
